Do I have to sign out between sessions?

You don't have to sign out of our server, but doing so will prevent anyone else who might use your computer from accessing the server in your name. We recommend that you sign out if you are using a public computer, such as one in a library. Signing out is required if you participate in another Lab project and need to switch between projects.

You can sign out of the server by clicking the "Sign out" link found in the top right of the page.

My e-mail (or home) address has changed.
Do you need my updated information?

Yes, it is in your best interests to do each of the following:

• Update your online profile by clicking on " View your account" found in the top right of the page while in the nest monitoring data entry pages.
• Tell our membership department. At this stage, we have no mechanism for your online updates to reach the membership personnel. Telephone (800) 843-2473 or e-mail the office at: membership@cornell.edu.
• Unsubscribe yourself from the NWnews-L,  Nestbox-L and TBNnews-L e-lists by sending an e-mail from your old address. Resubscribe using your new address. To stop receiving messages from an e-list (also called unsubscribing), send an e-mail message to listname-request@cornell.edu where listname is the name of the list you want to leave, including the hyphen and the letter L at the end of the list name. The body of the message is simply: leave
• To resubscribe send an e-mail to listname-request@cornell.edu, where listname is the name of the list you want to join, including the hyphen and the letter L at the end of the list name,  leave the subject line blank, and write in the body of the message from your new e-mail address: join

What if I can't remember my user name and password?

If you don't remember your password, click the link for an email reminder "Forgot  password?"  You will need to provide either your user name or the email address associated with your account.  If you still experience problems, send an e-mail via our Contact Form.

What are the recommended system requirements to use and view this site?

On a PC, we recommend using Internet Explorer (version 6.0) or  Firefox (Version 1.5 or later). If you are on a Mac, please use Firefox only.

Why can't I login with my Birdhouse Network account?

This is likely because your user name and or password are not between 6-12 characters, and you will be taken to the "edit your account" page. At this point, you will need to change your user name and/or password to something that is between 6-12 characters. Be sure to click "Save" at the bottom of the page. All of your data will remain with the updated account information. Keep in mind, that if you ever want to edit or change your account information, you can click on the "view your account" link in the upper right hand corner.
